The Phoenix Fuel Masters continue to lose players as LA Revilla decided to undergo surgery to remove bone spurs on his left foot.

Because of that, coach Louie Alas decided that they need to one another point guard to their rotation. He said that he is looking at MPBL for some options.

Who should Phoenix target?

MARK TALLO
Mark Tallo played in the 2019 Philippine Cup where he averaged 4.6 points, 1.6 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 39% FG and 32% 3FG per game. He transferred to MPBL, signing with Bacolod Master Sardines. In his MPBL debut, he erupted for 31 points, 4 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals.

Tallo's style of play is similar to that of Willie Miller. He is not the most athletic but he is very crafty in securing his shots and in making plays for his teammates. He will provide something different, in comparison to RJ Jazul and Alex Mallari.

SIMON ATKINS

Simon has been on and off in playing in the PBA. He was last seen wearing a Meralco Bolts jersey. Atkins is more of a traditional type of point guard. He is not flashy and he will not look for his shots. He is more of a game manager, calling out plays and fixing the flow of the offense. Just like Tallo, he provides something different, in comparison to Jazul and Mallari.

ROBBIE MANALANG
One rookie that they can provide with an opportunity is Robbie. He played for Adamson Falcons in the UAAP, where he averaged 9.5 points and 2.7 assists per game. He is a small point guard who is also more of a game-manager. If JP Calvo is succeeding with the Columbian Dyip, Manalang could do the same.
