2019 Com. Cup Trade Targets of San Miguel, Rain or Shine, Blackwater

Let us continue our series of pointing out trade targets for all the teams in the league. In reality, these are just suggestion and most likely, will never become a reality.

Nonetheless, it should give you a good idea of the needs of your favorite team. Today, we will tackle San Miguel, Rain or Shine and Blackwater.

SAN MIGUEL - A 1st round pick
I believe it has reached the point that what they need is to reduce the number of stars in their team. They do not have any glaring weakness and they have a clear path to winning games. One thing that can derail them will be chemistry and ego issues. San Miguel is not only loaded with stars but also with quality role players, like Matthew Ganuelas-Rosser, Kelly Nabong and Von Pessumal. In short, I am suggesting to them that they do addition by subtraction.

Now, if you are going to ask me who should they trade, I think it should be any of the stars other than Junemar Fajardo and Marcio Lassiter.

RAIN OR SHINE - A defensive bigman
As of now, the Elasto Painters has good depth in their frontline. They have Beau Belga, Mark Borboran, Jewel Ponferada and Norbert Torres. Now, what they need is a bigman who can replicate the rim protection of Raymond Almazan. They can talk to Alaska about Yutien Andrada or Noy Baclao. They are not as good as Almazan but they can defend the rim.

BLACKWATER - A bigman
I do not feel confident that a local bigman rotation of Rabeh Al-hussaini-Mac Belo-Abu Tratter-Chris Javier will survive in the playoffs. How about adding a veteran bigman that can guide them? I am talking about a Reynel Hugnatan or a Sonny Thoss. Hugnatan and Thoss are two of the most experienced frontliners in the league. They may not be as athletic as the young ones but they have the skills and wisdom to overcome their deficiencies.
