The quarterfinal of the 2019 Commissioner's Cup was an amazing ride. For this article series, we will tackle the best trade assets of all eliminated teams. When I say #1 trade asset, this is the player that will provide the most value to them. It is not only about how loaded is the possible return but also about how impactful will be their departure to their current team.

Let us continue with Alaska, Meralco and Blackwater.

Alaska - Chris Banchero
I know that Banchero is the best player in the Aces today. He produced 19.1 points, 3.8 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 41% 3FG per game this conference. This sudden peak in his performance is also the reason why I believed he is due for a big return. That is also the reason why I do not think it is bad for the Aces if he is the rumored point guard who is asking for a trade.

With his looks and production, the Aces can expect a package for a superstar. I will not be shocked if they can get a better deal than what the Batang Pier got for Stanley Pringle.

Meralco - Trevis Jackson
This was a toss-up between Baser Amer and Trevis Jackson. Baser Amer built up his name in the last two seasons but this year, he is slowly losing minutes to a plethora of fellow young guards behind him. Thus, I think Jackson will provide a better value now for Meralco because he is just a rookie and has been providing a lot of glimpses of what he can be.

Now, unloading Jackson will not damage Meralco that much because they have a lot of other young guards like Mike Tolomia and Bong Quinto.

Blackwater - Bobby Ray Parks
This is a unique case. In reality, if you have a guy as talented as Parks, you should not let him go. But if the player wants out even before he completes his first year, that is a different story. The franchise can decide to keep fighting for Parks because they do have the right to do that but there is a legit risk that if the situation escalates and Parks starts to go on public and demand a trade, his trade value could go down.

That is the reason why the best for everyone is for them to find the best trade package for him now.
