2019 Post PBA Com. Cup: Who is the next center to be traded?

The second conference of the 2019 season is down to its last two teams. After the conclusion of this conference, I expect trade discussions to pile up in preparation for the last title of the season.

For this series of articles, I will try to predict who is going to get traded next per position.

Let us start with the centers.

Rain or Shine - Beau Belga
Even though Elasto Painters are still surviving in the semifinals against San Miguel Beermen, that did not stop the rumor that Belga could ask for trade once their contention is over. That is very unfortunate because, in the past few years, Belga and James Yap have the faces of the Elasto Painters franchise. We just saw him hit a pull-up three-pointer to extend their series against the Beermen.

Fortunately, it is only a rumor. Although that makes him the most likely center to be traded soon. I am pretty sure that if Rain or Shine puts him on the trade block, several teams will make a good offer because, in a way, Belga is unique.

Magnolia - Ian Sangalang
Actually, Belga is not the only center in the rumor mill. There is also a growing buzz about Ian's potential desire to join his favorite team growing up, Brgy. Ginebra San Miguel. That is, of course, the reason why I put him here. I do not feel the rumor is that strong but the reality is Ian can always feel that the time has come for him to find his way to his favorite team.

I am pretty sure that if Ian tries to go to Ginebra, one of the twin towers of Ginebra will find his way back to Magnolia.

Columbian - Russell Escoto
Of course, the guys that we will put in this list are the guys that are part of the trade rumor mill. Escoto was one, if not the earliest name in this conference that was added to the rumor mill. It seems like Columbian is having a hard time finding a taker for him or maybe there is a big trade in the pocket already and will only be unleashed after this conference. We will see.
