The 2019 PBA Gov. Cup X-Factors: Ginebra, Northport, NLEX, Columbian

To end this series, it is time to name the players that are not one part of the three best players of their team who will have the biggest impact in their success.

GINEBRA - Art Dela Cruz
The fact that Art was the sixth Ginebra player that coach Tim Cone chose for the SEA games was an indication of how high he is about Art. He basically told us that he see Art as one of their core players. He also shows that, in his minutes. Overall, Art's stat-filling style will be needed by Ginebra. They already have scorers. So, they need glue guys like Dela Cruz to run their scheme, smoothly.

NORTHPORT - Sol Mercado
With a very deep guard rotation, coach Pido Jarencio will have a hard time deciding which guys should receive minutes. Mercado should have consistent minutes because of his defensive capacity. He is their top stopper. They need him to man the top scorers of the other teams. It is also great that he can also do a lot of things on offense.

NLEX - Michael Miranda
With the injury to JP Erram, Miranda is suddenly on the spot to take huge minutes. In their first two games, he was nothing special. He averaged 4.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 0.5 assist, 36% FG and 33% 3FG per game. He needs to be better than that. They do not have a very deep frontline without JP Erram. He needs to step up.

COLUMBIAN - Glenn Khobuntin
Khobuntin have a very good start to this conference, averaging 15.0 points, 1.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.5 steal, 48% FG and 50% 3FG per game. It is hard to count on him that he can sustain those numbers but if he can, that will be a relief for CJ Perez and Rashawn McCarthy who badly needs help in the scoring department.
