The rival of June Mar Fajardo is finally unleashed

(c) PBA Trade Rumor

San Miguel Beermen and Northport Batang Pier shocked the PBA universe when they swapped their former #1 picks, Christian Standhardinger and Moala Tautuaa.

I am very interested to find out why the trade happened in the middle of the conference, instead of before the conference. Especially with the long break between the Commissioner's Cup and the Governors' Cup.

That could have been a great time to do this trade because both players will have time to practice and connect with their new teams.

Nevertheless, I am just pump up to finally see Standhardinger in a different uniform.

Why?

Because he is the center that we have been waiting for, to rival Fajardo. He has showcased that in the 2018 Governors' Cup where he averaged 23.3 points, 13.6 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 60% FG per game.

Just to compare, Fajardo is currently averaging 15.0 points, 15.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.2 blocks and 50% FG per game.

Of course, we have seen Fajardo averaged more than those numbers but what I want to establish here is the fact that Standhardinger can produce more than a Fajardo.

Finally, we will find out if Fajardo is really the most valuable player in this league. I hope Standhardinger will at least play in Northport in the 2020 Philippine Cup. Because I want to see how far he can carry a young team like the Batang Pier.
