2019 PBA Gov. Cup BPC Power Ranking 2.0: Fajardo is back but not #1!

(c) PBA Media Bureau

We are down to the last three weeks of the elimination round and the playoff picture is becoming clearer.

Getting into the playoffs has been a requirement to get the Best Player of the Conference citation. So, the players who are playing for teams that are projected to miss the playoffs will not be considered.

So, who are the top 5 candidates?

#5 Junemar Fajardo (New!)
The Kraken is back on the hunt by maintaining very good numbers of 18.4 points, 14.5 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.3 blocks and 60% FG per game. The combination of the 4th best points production and 5th best efficiency is just hard to perceive. Although, I cannot push him much higher because of the fact that he is playing in the deepest team in the league.

#4 Baser Amer (New!)
Amer has sustained his fine form this conference. Allen Durham is the focal point of their team and Amer has been his best local buddy. He has the 5th best offensive rating this conference and I think by pushing him to focus on scoring, Meralco placed their guys in their best roles.

#3 RR Pogoy (#3 in 1.0 Ranking)
RR is crazy underrated in the PBA and especially with what he is doing this conference. He is averaging 21.2 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.2 steals, 56% FG and 54% 3FG per game. His crazy efficiency from beyond the arc has catapulted his offensive rating to 133.9. I have been amazed by him, suddenly becoming an aggressive and efficient attacker of closeouts.

#2 CJ Perez (#2 in 1.0 Ranking)
Perez has the numbers to be the #1 in this list. Unfortunately, the winning record of the teams also matters. Columbian Dyip is still on the thick and thin of the competition but they may still end up missing the playoffs.

#1 Kiefer Ravena (#1 in 1.0 Ranking)
If you think Ravena is the worst version of Terrence Romeo, I hope you have changed your mind. The guy is manufacturing 16.5 points, 9.3 assists (2nd best in the league including imports), 5.1 rebounds, 41% FG and 39% 3FG per game.Even though they have a great import, it is pretty obvious who is stirring the wheel of the #1 team in the league.
