PBA Trade Analysis: Should Blackwater get an F for the Ray Parks trade?

The Bobby Ray Parks to TNT trade is not getting as much fanfare as the Stanley Pringle to Ginebra trade but this exchange could easily be the biggest move this year.

Yes, it could be even much more impactful than the Standhardinger-release because of Parks age and already elite skills.

So, was this trade a fair one?
TNT received: Bobby Ray Parks Jr.
Blackwater received: Don Trollano, Anthony Semerad, 2021 1st

Nope. It is close but it is not actually a fair one. Trollano and Semerad are both in-prime wings who defends well and could hit threes. So, in terms of putting values to them, they have, at most, 60% of the value of Parks. Now, it is great that Blackwater received a 1st beyond 2019 because that 2021 draft will be much deeper than the 2019. In terms of value, I would give that around 25% for that.

So, what Blackwater is getting is around 85% of the value of Parks. At the very least, they should have asked for two more 2nd round picks.

TEAM ANALYSIS
TNT KA TROPA

This is an easy win for them. Even if they ended up adding another 1st in this trade, they will still won by a mile. That is how high, I value Parks. The numbers are there for you to see. Parks will be a perfect fit for what TNT wants to do because he is already crazy in putting up three-point shots. I  believed, he is bound to be the replacement of Jayson Castro.

BLACKWATER ELITE

Yes, I understand the fact that Parks doesn't want to play for the franchise. But with the last two trades of the Elite, they basically have embraced their farm team status. This trade is not an F for the Elite, because they at least get two 3-and-D players that are valuable in today's game. And at least they get a 1st.
