PBA Trade Talks: Alaska should trade Vic Manuel and Chris Banchero for?

One of the teams who was engraved in a lot of rumored issues and trade rumblings before the start of the conference was the Alaska Aces.

Of course, they ended up replacing coach Alex Compton with coach Jeffrey Cariaso but they only did one trade.

Now, the buzzes are again starting to get louder. According to the number 1 source of trade rumors, Alaska has openly negotiated the availability of Manuel and Banchero. One of the teams that they are talking to was Phoenix Fuel Masters.

The question now is, what should they look for in exchange for their two stars?

#1. 1st round pick beyond 2019
The sudden postponement of Joshua Munzon, Alvin Pasaol and Santi Santillan in joining the PBA has boosted the 2020 PBA draft and beyond. Imagine this, the potential #9 pick of the 2020 draft will now be projected at #12.

Add the fact that UAAP has learned about the one-and-done rule, and they should be able to lure quality Filipino-Foreigners who will try their luck in the league.

So, Alaska should go for a 1st round pick that is not part of this 2019 draft.

#2 A bigman
It doesn't need to be a starting caliber bigman. One type that they can look for are stretch bigs like Aldrech Ramos of Magnolia. He is not being utilized at full capacity at Hotshots. Why not get him and maximize his shooting capacity? Bigs like Joseph Gabayni and Lervin Flores of Columbian has the youth to be develop.

Overall
If Alaska can get one or two 1st round pick beyond 2019 and a bigman, let us say Joseph Gabayni, plus another talented player, I think that is a good package for the present and future of the Aces.
