Should San Miguel Beermen trade Arwind Santos?

In this era of the San Miguel Beermen franchise, there is no doubt that the most controversial guy in the roster is Arwind Santos.

He was the guy who recorded a song called 'bagyo'. He was the guy who was choked by their own import. He was the guy who made a racist gesture last conference. And now, he was again part of a fist-fight.

So, at this point of his career, is it time for the Beermen to let him go?

Even though Santos is already 38 years old, the guy is still doing damage. This season he is averaging 9.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.8 three-pointers made and 1.2 blocks per game.

Add his championship experience and San Miguel will still find value for him.

Actually, does it really matter if they will get nothing by trading him? If they decide to trade him, they are basically telling us that they do not want the risk of him doing another crazy sh%t.

Even though San Miguel did not draft Arwind, he has been one of the face of this era of the San Miguel Beermen.

Unfortunately in the social media, even their fans are already calling for his head. It seems like they are already tired of all the controversies that he gave to the franchise.

Add all of the things above and I think, it is time for San Miguel to trade him. By trading him, they will give a confidence boost to Moala Tautuaa that he is the partner of Junemar Fajardo today, and in the futute.

By trading him, they can tell the fans that they listened to them. By trading him, they can avoid the risk of one last controversial action from Arwind.

But by trading him, San Miguel Beermen will be losing its Spiderman.
