The 2019 PBA Gov. Cup Best Player of the Conference is...

So, we are down to four teams in the 2019 season of the PBA. Meralco, TNT, Northport and Ginebra will battle for the last title this season.

Leading them are their magnificent imports but at their back are amazing local players. So, which one should be the Best Player of the Conference if it ends now?

Let us see!

#5 Troy Rosario
Troy is having a great conference and it seems like no one noticing it. That is the effect of having a super dominant import. I think, Troy has secured his place as the best stretch-big in the game. His style is so modern that the future of TNT is really on his hands.

#4 Baser Amer
Amer is having another great conference to end this season. He is averaging 15.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.1 steals, 46.4% 3FG and 2.9 long bombs per game. His hot streak from beyond the arc is the most crucial part of his game and for his team because it is what Allen Durham and Raymond Almazan, needs.

#3 Japeth Aguilar
It is not Greg Slaughter, LA Tenorio, Stanley Pringle or Scottie Thompson who is helping Brownlee the most. It is actually, Japeth Aguilar. He is having an awesome offensive conference and of course, his defense is still an integral part of what they do.

#2 RR Pogoy
If you are not yet informed, Pogoy is not only a sniper but a real bad ass of a player. The guy is averaging 19.2 points, fourth best for locals in this conference, 5.4 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 46% 3FG and 2.4 three-pointers per game. Add the fact that he is one of the best wing defender in the country and you have one of the best off-the-ball player in the country.

#1 Christian Standhardinger
Standhardinger may have been late in this party but the guy brought the best things. The guy just carried Northport to the semifinals. I do not need to put down his numbers. What he did was enough to merit him the #1 spot. PBA will surely give the award to another player but I doubt that that player will actually do what Christian just did.
