The PBA doesn't need a big trade!

As we continue to feed our imaginations with a lot of trade rumors swirling around, the possibility that there will be no big trade to be consummated is still there.

Bobby Ray Parks is still unsigned and the rumblings are, he is bound to be wearing a different jersey. That has not happened.

According to legit sources, CJ Perez will finally go to a San Miguel Corporation team. But as of today, he is still part of the Columbian Dyip.

And etc.

If you think about it, we could be having a very competitive season if no big trade will happen. It all starts with the big questions surrounding the San Miguel Beermen franchise. Their failure to win the grandslam and the ramifications of the Santos-punching-incident will affect the chemistry of the team. Although on paper, they are still the best team.

Ginebra looks to takeover as Stanley Pringle has gotten his groove with them. Unlike San Miguel though, they are a little-less deeper and with more injury questions.

And then add the improved talents of the young franchises.

Columbian Dyip has a new super-duo of Roosevelt Adams and CJ Perez. I am really hoping that we can witness them play together because I think, they could shock a lot of teams.

Blackwater now have a legit center in Maurice Shaw, after the departure of JP Erram. They also have a pretty good young coach in Nash Racela.

If Raymond Almazan can manage to play in the Philippine Cup, I am excited to see how the Bolts will play.

With coach Yeng Guiao at the helm and with a more in-sync Kiefer Ravena, NLEX Road Warriors is way more dangerous.

Phoenix is the only team that I am not that positive because Calvin Abueva remains to be suspended. But once he returns, Phoenix should be able to rise again.

And lastly, I want to see Northport be carried once again by Christian Standhardinger.

Without any big names changing team, the upcoming season could be one of the most competitive in this century. I hope the PBA management will realize that.
