Let us continue our series of ranking players according to which one who will be traded next. Today, we will put the Alaska Aces into the magnifying glass.
#5 Abu Tratter & Noy Baclao
With the impending retirement of Joachim Thoss, Alaska will be hard press to exchange one of their other centers in Tratter and Baclao. Baclao will also be on a sideline for a long period of time because of a bad injury. I also think that they saw a lot from Tratter last conference that they will make sure that he will be part of their future.
#4 JV Casio & Abel Galliguez & Mike DiGregorio
With the abundance of supply of point guards in the league, it is hard to see any team having an interest on Casio and Galliguez. Alaska is also one of the few teams that have a shallow point guard rotation.
Alaska just traded for Mike and even gave him a new contract. Do not expect him to be on trade discussions for the next few months because the team will first evaluate what he brings into the table.
#3 Robbie Herndon & Jeron Teng
Just like Tratter, I believe Alaska is confident about what they have on these two versatile wings. Teng was once rumored to be pushing for a trade but that has been silence for a while now. Herndon doesn't have enough hype to get the interest of other teams.
#2 Maverick Ahanmisi & Vic Manuel
These two are arguably the best players of the team but with all the rumors surrounding the franchise, their names are also being thrown around. Starting from last year, we have been hearing about The Muscle Man wanting out of the franchise. Although, it was rumored that the owner intervened. Ahanmisi on the other hand is a new acquisition of the franchise but he is also their best asset in grabbing a good player that could be a better fit.
#1 MJ Ayaay & Kevin Racal
Ayaay was their first round pick from the 2018 PBA draft but I do not think he showed enough to be considered as a lock in their future core. Racal has been injured a lot in the past few seasons. These two are at the top because I think, they are the best add-ons in a trade package to get a better player for Alaska.
