PBA Controversy: JP Erram 1.0 trade was disapproved but the Banchero & Pringle trades were quickly approved

My reaction to the JP Erram trade was, it was clearly an unfair trade. So, I agree with the decision of the trade committee that they sent it back for some revisions. You can check my analysis of the 1.0 trade in this video.

I will not blame my fellow PBA fans though if they again attack the integrity of the league because of that decision. How come that the trade committee, led by the PBA Commissioner, deciphered the rumored trade below as unfair, and yet found the Chris Banchero to Magnolia and Stanley Pringle to Ginebra trades, as fair ones?

As you can see, TNT gave up quantity in the trade to disguise the fact that the value of JP Erram and that 2020 1st is still much higher than the sum of what they gave up. How come now that Ginebra and Magnolia succeeded in applying the same tactic?

First, Ginebra manages to get Stanley Pringle for three role players (Jervy Cruz, Kevin Ferrer, Sol Mercado) who average a combined 41.1 minutes in the Commissioner's Cup when they were still with Ginebra?

How did they judge a much simpler trade as a fair one wherein Ginebra got one of the five best players in the league in exchange for three bench players? And yet saw that a much complex JP Erram trade as unfair?

Here is the point, which package is better, the one that Northport gave up for Pringle or the one that TNT gave up for Blackwater? Okay, to make it much clearer, let us not include the 2021 TNT 1st and make that 2022 1st as two seconds instead, to recognize the value of that 2020 BWE 1st.

So again, which package will you choose, the Pringle package or the converted Erram package of Magat, Daquioag 2021 TNT 2nd and 2022 TNT 2nd?

Marion Magat is a better value than Jervy Cruz. Ed Daquioag and a 2nd round pick is arguably a better value than Kevin Ferrer. And Sol Mercado was just let go by Phoenix, so that other 2nd could be more valuable than Sol.

I also forgot to tell you that even though Erram is a gigantic center, Pringle is still more valuable because he is a top 5 player in the league.

And yet the Pringle trade was the one that was approved and the JP Erram was the one that was sent for revision.

Actually, the Chris Banchero was even much clearer because Rodney Brondial and Robbie Herndon were averaging a combined 14.8 minutes in their final conference with Magnolia. And yet the two of them are enough for a starting-caliber point guard?

There is only one way to explain the difference in the way that the trade committee handled those trades. I do not need to spit it out.

  5. unfair namn talaga... may erram na tapos kinuha pa first round pick ng bwe.. ibig sabihin mas mataas ang tyansa na makakuha sila ng top player... parang inikot lang para di halata.. tapos binigay lang nila magat and daqiuag and parang isang second round pick? di sapat un para makuha si erram at first round pick.... tama lang di na approved

  6. As reported by Stanford Medical, It's really the SINGLE reason women in this country live 10 years more and weigh 42 lbs less than we do.

(And really, it has totally NOTHING to do with genetics or some secret diet and absolutely EVERYTHING to do with "how" they are eating.)

P.S, What I said is "HOW", and not "what"...
