Should Ginebra trade for a superstar?

Reading all the comments about the disapproved JP Erram trade, a lot of San Miguel Corporation fans are salivating for the answer of the San Miguel Corporation. Especially a million supporters of Ginebra because they have heard this offseason that the management is focused on them and they will try to help them accomplish a grand slam.

Now, we have heard about a new rumor and the name of LA Tenorio has been discussed. A lot of fans assumed that LA could be the one to sacrifice for Ginebra to finally get a Christian Standhardinger.

If that happens, it will create a lot of questions about their chemistry. Tenorio has been a big part of the system of Tim Cone and in the leadership structure of Ginebra. Removing him and then adding a Standhardinger that will surely be the focus now of the system, will suddenly put of adjustment issues to Ginebra.

It is not as if their center depth is not good enough. They still have Japeth Aguilar, Joe Devance, Prince Caperal and Raymond Aguilar.

Japeth Aguilar is the third-best center in the league. We have never seen him as the main frontliner in a team that can contend for a championship. If his showing against Meralco in the 2019 PBA Governors' Cup is any indication, I think the guy is more than ready.

He is a great fit beside Stanley Pringle and LA Tenorio because he doesn't need the ball and Pringle and Tenorio will enjoy creating plays for him.

Prince Caperal is more than capable of defending giants for a long period of time. He may not have the outside shot but he is capable of taking advantage of a smaller defender.

Lastly, Stanley Pringle is more than capable of being the focus of their system. Remember that coach Tim Cone succeeded in getting a grand slam in 2014 with guards as his main scorers.
