2019 PBA Trade-Value Ranking - San Miguel: The deepest team in the league?

Let us continue running down teams to rank their players according to their trade value. Let us define trade value as the potential return if a player will be traded, alone.

Today, we will go with the San Miguel Beermen. If the players are not ranked, it indicates that I do not see the other teams paying value to get them.

#6 Paul Zamar, Russel Escoto
This is how deep the Beermen are. These last rank guys can easily fetch more than a 2nd rounder for San Miguel. Zamar has proven himself in the past that he can start. While Escoto has a unique skill set for a bigman.

#5 Arwind Santos, Von Pessumal
I do understand that a lot of PBA fans are tired of all the controversies surrounding Arwind. The guy is already 38 years old. So at this point, it is hard to see any team giving up a starting-caliber player for him. Von is the deadly sniper that every team needs. He is only 26 years old and also capable of defending a lot of possessions.

#4 Alex Cabagnot
Cabagnot is still capable of starting for any team but the guy is already 37 years old. That is the reason why I think his value is lower than the guys at the top 3.

#3 Chris Ross, Marcio Lassiter
Ross is easily the best stat-stuffer in the point guard position in the country. In 2019, he averaged 8.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, 5.4 assists, 2.2 steals, 1.8 three-pointers and 36% 3FG per game. His improvement in his three-point shooting made his game much more complete.

On the other hand, Lassiter is still one of the best three-and-D in the league. He is only 31 years old and still capable of scoring a lot of points and defending a majority of the top perimeter scorers in the league.

#2 Moala Tautuaa, Terrence Romeo
Tautuaa is one of the top 8 centers in the league. His 20 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 2 blocks in their first game against Magnolia indicates that this season could be his breakout year to crack the top 5 of the position.

The value of Terrence has always been up-and-down. With his consistent showing last year, I think there are teams out there who should be willing to give up a package for a franchise player. Especially with the marketing value of Terrence.

#1 June Mar Fajardo
Even with the season-long injury, there is no doubt that Fajardo is still the man that runs this place. If you are a fan of a different team, how much are you willing to give up for Fajardo? I think, there are at least two teams out there who should give up their entire roster for Fajardo. The presence of Fajardo alone will push any team into contention.
