2020 PBA Trade Value - TNT: Is this the right time to trade Jayson Castro?

We are finished with six teams in this series of articles. We will start the final half with the team that made the biggest change this offseason. I am talking about the TNT Ka Tropa!

If the players are not ranked, it indicates that I do not see the other teams paying value to get them. Let us define trade value as the potential return if a player will be traded, alone.

#7 Harvey Carey  & Val Chauca
These two guys may not be valued by ten of the eleven other teams in the league. But I think, the experience of Harvey can attract at least one or two teams to give up a 2nd rounder. On the other hand, I am counting on Val to build up value early in the season.

#6 Samboy De Leon & David Semerad
Another two players that I am not sure if they have any merit in the eyes of the other teams. Nonetheless, both of them are credible defenders. Both also came from the SMB camp, which means they have connections to several teams.

#5 Ryan Reyes & Kelly Williams
There is no doubt that there are teams out there who will pay to add the name, Kelly Williams, in their roster. He is not that MVP-level guy anymore and may not even be a credible starter but as a role-player, he can still go. Reyes has maintained more value because he is more credible in hitting three-pointers.

#4 Simon Enciso
The bravado of Enciso seems to be working because it has pushed two franchises to pay for him. So, it should not be shocking if there are other teams out there who are willing to do so.

#3 Ray Parks Jr. & RR Pogoy
These two guys can easily fetch TNT a 1st round pick and a valuable role-player. Although, I really think they are more valuable than that. I am a big believer in Ray Parks. I still think that he has potential as high as what CJ Perez has. While Pogoy developed elite skills that made him a superstar of a player. He is a plus on offense and defense and he doesn't need the ball, that much.

#2 Jayson Castro
I will not blame you if you feel like The Blur has been playing in the PBA forever. The reality is, Jayson is only 33 years old. Even though father-time is slowly defeating him, the guy is still a two-time Best PG of Asia. The name-recognition alone is worth a lot of picks.

#1 JP Erram & Troy Rosario
The PBA was the one who told us how valuable a JP Erram is. Knowing that Troy is just a little bit smaller, there is a good chance that he is as valuable. Especially with the fact that he can actually do more things than JP.
