PBA Free-Agency: Which team should be interested in signing Yousef Taha?

In the last few seasons, shreds of evidence were increasing about the importance of giants in determining the franchises that will lead the league.

Just look at Ginebra, San Miguel and Magnolia. They have accumulated a lot of big centers. We are not only talking about star centers like Greg Slaughter and Ian Sangalang. They are also strengthening their bench by taking-in Prince Caperal, Rafi Reavis and Billy Mamaril. They are not star players but they are capable of withstanding the superstar giants of the league.

So, it was mind-boggling that we have a lot of 6'7 and taller free-agents today. One of them is Yousef Taha. He was traded to Blackwater Elite but the franchise is not interested in taking him in.

So, which teams should be talking to him now and try to sign him?

GINEBRA
Staying true to the strategy of accumulating the giants of the league to lessen the number of centers who can give a hard time to your superstar giant. Ginebra should try to get a Taha. Especially with the sabbatical leave of Greg. Ginebra has a lot of open playing time from its center position.

Now, it was revealed that Ginebra was actually interested. Although, there are other franchises who are also talking to Yousef. Yousef also looks like a good fit for Ginebra because he can replicate what Japeth Aguilar can do, but in lesser quality.

PHOENIX
The other team that was rumored to be interested and already in contact with Yousef is Phoenix and it make sense. Phoenix needs a lot of depth for their center position with the retirement of Doug Kramer and the injuries to Dave Marcelo and Jake Pascual.

With his athleticism and activity, Yousef will be a good fit beside Justin Chua or Jason Perkins. Both are skilled bigs that could benefit from having a scrapper inside.
