PBA Rumor: One PBA team is looking to sell its franchise?

Snow Badua presented a very intriguing rumor today about a franchise who could be looking to sell their team.

If we are going to analyze the post, we can see two possible clues in "one team owner" and "championship rich franchise".

If "one team owner" is telling us about an owner who only has a single team in the league and who has a lot of championships, then the best possibility is Alaska Aces. Rain or Shine can also be considered but it is a team under two owners. It is also hard to consider it as a team with a lot of championships.

Now, in the picture, we have two franchises in Great Taste and Crispa. The franchise of Crispa was sold to Shell in 1985 and then acquired by Welcoat, currently known as Rain or Shine.

On the other hand, Great Taste was first sold to Sta. Lucia Realtors before being acquired by Meralco Bolts.

Meralco cannot be considered if the "championship rich franchise" means a current team with a lot of championships. But, if it means a franchise with a lot of championships, Great Taste and Sta. Lucia combines eight crowns.

Now, another question is about Chooks-to-Go. According to rumors, Chooks-to-Go was denied entry to the league because it is a direct-competitor to Magnolia Hotshots.

If Chooks can acquire the franchise, the possibility that the franchise could be Magnolia, should also be considered.

With the given posts and the picture, we still have a lot of possibilities. Let us wait for a much clearer clue.
