PBA Controversy: Immediate action against Blackwater's owner but silence about Ginebra's player?

The PBA did not waste time in taking action against the owner of Blackwater Elite, Mr. Dioceldo Sy. They give them a P100,000 fine for the premature practice that the owner revealed in a podcast of TV5.

The PBA also launched a probe against the serious allegations that Mr. Sy said to the media. Although, the commissioner did not specify which statements he was referring to.

Today, the owner of Blackwater further explained his remarks about selling his PBA franchise by providing the following statements.
I’m just helping out and show people things are beginning to get back to normal. To show the signs of hope and healing as a nation together... Dapat praises, not sanction.
I was offended, bullied and pushed to the wall... We were excited when it was announced that practices would be allowed. We had two players shooting around. What’s wrong with that? What did I violate? This is a non-issue for me and we will get sanctioned for that?
Will you agree with me if I say that his statement of asking what' wrong with letting a shoot around is indicating that he is not well versed about the IATF guidelines and the danger of the virus?

The virus should not be taken lightly. Thus, either you are pro-administration or not, we should understand that following the guidelines is the best for our public health. That is the reason why I agree with the immediate action by the league.

But it also created a question again in my mind. Did the PBA even check the rumor about Japeth Aguilar going La Union last month for a quick trip?

How come that they immediately took action against the violation of Mr. Sy but remained silent about Japeth? It is a violation of the protocol. Yes, it is a much smaller violation compared to that of Blackwater but still, it was a violation.

By the way, La Union just announced a recording-breaking 17 new cases yesterday, July 16. That pushed their total to 45, from 28.

I am not saying that Japeth contributed anything to that but that will be the future of any place that will let people keep violating protocols.
