PBA Trade Recall: Is Jio Jalalon still part of Magnolia's future?

Here is our on-going series of articles wherein we will recall a trade rumor in the past that did not happen for each team. Again, this is only a recall of past trade gossips. These rumors are not present ones. So, do not expect them to happen or to be refuted anytime soon!

Today, we will focus on the Magnolia Hotshots. Magnolia has a lot of trade rumors in the last 12 months. Actually, one of them happened (the Chris Banchero trade).

The Christian Standhardinger craving of Magnolia has been the most popular one but I think, it is more interesting if we look back on the Jio Jalalon chattering.

It all started with this.

The biggest clue in that tweet was the word "chief" and currently, that word is mostly connected to Jio Jalalon, the most recent superstar from the Arellano Chiefs.

Now, according to the discussions about this last year, they were pointing to Jio Jalalon and Paul Lee. So, the talk back there was Magnolia will give up Jio to appease Paul. Now, connecting the two tweets above, they were pointing to LA Tenorio as the one who will be retiring soon. But that rumor was already denied and we have not heard about it up to this point.

Now, this full trade rumor made big waves in social media but it did not happen. Maybe, a version of this trade where Greg Slaughter is also part of it was the one that Greg managed to stop by taking a sabbatical. The fact that Ginebra gave up three role players could also be part of the reason why this trade never materialized.

WHY IT DID NOT HAPPEN?
According to some reports, Paul Lee and Jio Jalalon may not be the ones who were feuding. Some reports pointed to there wives. So, maybe that problem was resolved and Magnolia decided to keep their most promising guard in the roster.

SO NOW WHAT?
It is still an indication though that they are willing to trade Jio Jalalon. So if Magnolia makes a big trade, do not be shocked if Jio is part of it.
