The Philippine Basketball Association asked for an early October resumption of its 2020 season. The plan is to conduct a tournament that will span two months. They will have more game days as usual. In short, PBA could be dominating our television soon.

So, here is the series of articles that will provide the biggest questions for each team as a primer for the possible return of the league.

In this write-up, our discussion will center on the Northport Batang Pier. The team that will be having the best player in the league if it will successfully resume this league.

Of course,  I am talking about Christian Standhardinger. With the injury of June Mar Fajardo, Standhardinger is unquestionably the most unstoppable big that will play in the league.

Actually, the manager of the franchise, coach Bonnie Tan, is hopeful for this year. He is so hopeful that he believes that they are capable of winning the championship.

Can they really win the 2020 PBA Quarantine Cup title?

To be more specific, can they beat TNT, San Miguel, Ginebra and Magnolia in a playoff series? In terms of the roster, I think they have an awesome big-3 in Standhardinger-Anthony-Bolick to withstand the star power of the other teams.

I also think that their depth in terms of quantity will help them find ways in defeating those powerhouse clubs, multiple times.

For me, their biggest question is their coaching staff headed by coach Pido Jarencio. Coach Pido has proven his worth in the amateurs but the PBA is another level.

But with his experience in the league, I do see him as capable of leading a franchise to a championship.

In short, I can see Northport winning the crown.
