PBA Analysis: Kelly Williams' retirement is an evidence of how underrated Arwind Santos is

A former MVP that last played for TNT Ka Tropa, has called it a career. Kelly Williams, will end up playing thirteen seasons in the PBA with six PBA crowns and an MVP award in 2008.

The Instagram message of Kelly was an interesting read because of the number of people that he gave thanks to.

It seems like his first four years in the league with Sta. Lucia Realtors remained to be the most meaningful to him as they were the ones that were highlighted first.

The career of the 38 years old former MVP was nothing to sniff about with all his accomplishments in the league after being drafted as the #1 pick in 2006.

Do you remember the guy that went #2? Yes. Arwind Santos.

Unlike Kelly, Arwind did "not" end up with an MVP award. Unlike Kelly, Arwind failed to be the main star of a championship team.

Unlike Kelly though, Arwind is still being treated by casual fans as an in-prime star! Arwind averaged 9.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.2 blocks per game last year. Just 0.4 away from averaging double-digits.

While Kelly only managed to produced double-digits average in points per game, in his first four years.

Although, that may not be the most mind-blowing number that you need to know.

Arwind, the Spiderman, is already 39 years old! Yes. A year older than Machine Gun Kelly.

And yet, we are not even discussing Arwind's retirement.

Arwind may have done a lot of controversial things in his career but that should not erase the fact that he is one of the most productive players that the PBA has ever seen.
