2020 PBA Draft News: Confirmed! This draft will have more than five future superstars!

It seems like this year's draft will not suffer the same fate as the 2019 batch as the big names are declaring for the draft, not one by one, but by batches!

The first two who told the media that they will enter the PBA in the upcoming draft are Jeremiah Gray and Jamie Malonzo.

The moment the media were informed, both of them were right away discussed as viable options for the #1 pick.

Gray was introduced to Philippine basketball as a high-potential athletic wing. On the other hand, Malonzo proved in the UAAP that he is a very high-quality talent.

Now, the blue-chip prospects in the 3x3 arena just told the PBA universe that they will now enter the upcoming draft.

I am talking about Joshua Munzon, Alvin Pasaol, Santi Santillan and Troy Rike. Actually, in my mock drafts, I have not considered Munzon and Pasaol as potential entrants because I really thought that 3x3 will not let them go because of the qualification for the Olympics.

It seems like, they do not want to take the risk and violate the new rule by Com. Willie Marcial that a prospect who is already done with his college eligibility cannot bypass the draft, twice.

For that, commissioner Marcial deserves some thumbs up!

Now, maybe the question is, who are the five future superstars out of those names?

I can confidently say that Malonzo, Munzon and Rike are excellent candidates. As long as they do not get injured and received enough opportunity, they will show the PBA universe that they are superstars.

The other two? Pasaol, Santillan and Gray can all reach that level. Although, it may not be as easy as the three guys above.

By the way, we can also count Franky Johnson as a possibility as he also declared.
