2020 PBA Mock Draft: The Top 10 Bigman! Four 6'7 and taller!

At this point, it is pretty clear that the bigman position is the most important in the league. And this upcoming draft could be dripping of bigs in terms of numbers!

Let me introduce the potential top 10 bigs of the 2020 PBA draft!

 #1 Jamie Malonzo
He will be more of an offensive center than a defensive one. He may look incapable of playing the center position but I think he actually has underrated strength and rim protection. Offensively, he can be special. He can be a better offensive-version of Troy Rosario.

#2 Justine Baltazar
The Joachim Thoss comparison is really growing on me because of his plethora of post moves. It is not yet as good as that of Thoss but it may reach that level. Defensively, I worry about his strength. Can he really defend the giants of the league?

#3 Troy Rike
The more I watch Rike, the more I grow as a fan of his game. He reminds me a lot of JP Erram but he could even be better in this point of their career. His defensive awarenessi is really good. Imagine him getting more seasoning in the PBA?

#4 Larry Muyang
He may not be the most skilled. He is not the fastest. His jump is not that high. But Muyang's combination of heft and strength makes him an interesting prospect to have. Will he be the next JR Quinahan? We will see.

#5 James Laput
If Maurice Shaw was drafted very high even if he is already 34 years old and with a very small amount of basketball credentials, Laput will surely be considered because he is 6'9. I do not think he has any acceptable skill at this point but he has the most important attribute to succeed in the PBA.

#6 Santi Santillan
We can say that Santillan is on the other end of the spectrum in comparison to Laput. He is not that huge but he is very skilled for a bigman. I can easily see him taking the same path that Justin Chua took.

#7 Jeo Ambohot
Jeo could actually be a better comparison to Troy Rosario than Malonzo because Jeo is more active, especially on fighting for rebounds. He has been taking three-pointers for a while and if he is consistent in training it, he could enter the league as an average three-point shooter, at the very least.

#8 Justin Arana
Arana was the 2019 NCAA Defensive Player, which speaks a lot about his defensive potential. His timing for blocking shots is pretty good. He also embraces physicality, so let me liken him to a Cliff Hodge.

#9 Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser
Even though Brandon has good-looking muscular physique, I wonder if he used it properly because most of the time, his power moves in the paint end up not creating anything. But his athleticism could be underrated. Can he be a taller version of Bam Gamalinda?

#10 Ben Adamos
An underrated prospect from UPHSD who is still unpolished. He is interesting because I think he has a long wingspan and his leaping ability looks fine. The signs are pointing for him to have a Jewel Ponferada-type of career if he finds the right team.
