PBA Analysis: Ginebra won because of Ray Parks

The moment it entered overtime, I was a little bit sure that Ginebra will get this one. Ginebra was in control all throughout the game.

Albeit, their control is not that strong, and that was the reason why back-to-back three-pointers by Jay Washington pushed it to overtime.

During the overtime, we saw Ginebra as the more experienced team. As LA Tenorio and Stanley Pringle managed to breakdown the defense of TNT, over and over again.

Pringle and Aguilar combined for 49 points, 23 rebounds and 8 assists, forming an unstoppable duo. Their pick-and-roll action was on-point during the game.

It also did not help TNT that for the entire game, they have failed to consistently box-out Ginebra. So, Ginebra easily outrebounded them by 19!

Out of all the options, though of that we can choose as the #1 reason why Ginebra won the game, I actually think that it was because of Ray Parks.

Ray actually did not have a bad game as he produced 20 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 5 steals and 2 blocks.

But, he was not 100% during the game. His injury was severely painful that he was limping all throughout the 4th quarter and the overtime.

Even with that, we still saw him make tough shots and even made an important stop of Stanley Pringle.

Knowing that the game was really close. A 100% Parks could have been a big difference to the result.
