PBA Trade Targets Suggestion of NOR, DYIP, NLEX, BWE: Ginebra or Magnolia, Standhardinger should go to?

Here is a unique way of reviewing the teams that got eliminated from the competition. We will analyze their performance through the lens of pointing to the right kind of player that they should target. We will also consider the different trade rumors that we have heard.

TERRA FIRMA DYIP (1-10)
I think this franchise is just so young right now that they are having trouble building a winning culture. I think it speaks a lot about the importance of having the right veterans to build-up superb young players.

If CJ Perez will remain with the team by next season, it is crucial then that they grab a veteran or two with experience in leading a team too good playoff runs.

Now, what if CJ is really bound to San Miguel? I actually think that it will not be that bad for Columbian. Roosevelt Adams and the 2020 #1 pick will still be there to hold the fort. So, if CJ is going to San Miguel, the right package that they should ask is Chris Ross and Roosevelt Adams.

Ross is known to be a stable veteran that will surely help in building up the remaining young core of Terra Firma. Tautuaa on the other hand is showing off in the PBA bubble. He is a legit top 10 giant in the league with a skillset that is very easy to play around.

NORTHPORT BATANG PIER (1-10)
Northport should be ashamed of its performance. Having the should-be-best player in the league and only grabbing a single W is atrocious. Nevertheless,  they now have the #2 pick. Which means another blue-chip prospect to add to their collection.

They have an obvious need in the point guard position. Nico Elorde's 5.3 points, 2.6 rebounds, 34% FG and 25% 3FG per game are very bad.

What if Standhardinger trade to Ginebra or Magnolia happens. What is the right package that Northport should ask for?

I think, Magnolia will be the better trade partner because they have more available pieces to move. Magnolia's 2020 1st, currently projected as #6 pick, is a must in the deal. Now, which point guard should Northport asked for? Barroca will be a huge upgrade but the same thing with Banchero, whom I expect to be valued less. That way, they can still ask for Aris Dionisio. I believed, Dionisio is a good addition to Northport because of his versatility on both ends of the court.

BLACKWATER ELITE (2-9)
Blackwater Elite showed promise in the bubble as the system of coach Nash Racela was embraced by the players and they delivered acceptable performance. They are actually a very modern team, ranking last in midrange scoring and 6th from beyond the arc.

What they need though is pretty obvious as Maurice Shaw flopped in the bubble. Knowing that he will be turning 36 next year, it is pretty clear that he is not the future of their center position. Also, they ended up as the 2nd worst team in defending scoring in the paint.

Thus, they need a center. They have traded their 2020 1st. So, the only path for a good big is through a trade.

NLEX ROAD WARRIORS (5-6)
Coach Yeng Guiao is really on a different level in terms of maximizing a roster and developing a player. They are also a very interesting team because they have #3 and #4 pick in the upcoming draft.

Looking at the numbers, they play a very fast pace, that they are #1 in paint scoring and #3 in assists. What they need though could be perimeter defense as they are #8 in terms of three-point scoring defense.

Of course, they should add a good center soon as Asi Taulava ponders if he will retire and with JR Quinahan, continue to age.

So, a big wingman could be a good target. Fortunately for them, Blackwater has a lot of that. I am talking about Trollano, Belo and even Daquioag.
