PBA Trade Rumors: So the Standhardinger to Ginebra trade was true, Greg?

 

What did you felt after reading the apology social-media post of Greg Slaughter?

I will not be shocked if some of you actually laugh because we of course heard the buzz that Greg wants to try the International scene of basketball. He even signed with an International agent.

We also heard him deny the rumors that he went on sabbatical to avoid a trade that will send him out of Ginebra.

And in his apology post, he pointed to misunderstanding as one of the main culprits of what transpired in his career this 2020.

So, are you really buying that a player will just let a misunderstanding unfixed for a while without a real intention behind it?

Are you also buying the story of him falling out of love with the game, even though they just won the 2019 Gov. Cup?

Reading between the line, the most critical part for me was this, 

My only wish for the coming year is to leave that in the past and have the opportunity to suit up again for the best fans in the world.

I think this is the thought process of a player who went on sabbatical just to avoid something to happen because he wanted to remain with his current team.

It fits perfectly with the buzz in the past that Greg went on sabbatical to avoid being part of the Standhardinger to Ginebra trade.
