2021 PBA Mock Draft 4.0: Ginebra drafted a UAAP superstar!

In this mock draft, we will see the effect of the Phoenix-Magnolia trade. We also digested the mock drafts of the national media.

GILAS DRAFT

#1 DYIP Jaydee Tungcab - I heard some buzz that Tungcab is the target of Columbian in this Gilas Draft. I do not have a problem with that as Columbian will have a lot of picks to cover their other needs.

#2 NOR Jordan Heading - I expect Northport to secure one of the Alab Pilipinas guys in Heading. Knowing that Bolick is their only reliable point guard, Jordan could be a crucial addition.

#3 NLEX Will Navarro - NLEX gets the last two picks. Navarro is connected to the MVP group as he is a product of Ateneo. I expect him to benefit a lot by training in Gilas.

#4 NLEX Tzaddy Rangel - Rangel made the right decision to join the Gilas draft because he only has the size at this point. He needs to grow his skills.

REGULAR DRAFT
1ST ROUND
#1 DYIP Joshua Munzon - This is almost 99% lock-in already. I just wonder which SMC team will be the final destination of Joshua? Knowing Terrafirma, they will surely cash-in on Munzon.

#2 NOR Jamie Malonzo - Some national media and even Snow Badua agreed that Malonzo will be the pick of Northport. If Standhardinger will be traded, Malonzo will be a nice young replacement.

#3 NLEX Calvin Oftana - Another 99% lock-in pick because of the connection of San Beda to MVP group. Other than that, I think NLEX will be happy to have a very promising versatile player.

#4 NLEX Santi Santillan - NLEX should continue to pile-up their forward and center position because their guard rotation is already very loaded. Santillan will provide them with a hardworking undersized bigman.

#5 ROS Jason Brickman - Rain or Shine wants a point guard. How about the most PBA-ready point guard to ever enter the PBA draft? Brickman can turn Rain or Shine into a contender.

#6 PHX Jeremiah Gray - If Phoenix moves up to get a blue-chip prospect, I think Gray should be their pick at this point. Out of all the available, he has the most hyped at this point. If his three-point shooting click, he could be special.

#7 ALA Mikey Williams - If Alaska will look at their current roster structure, I expect them to draft the best available guard and Mikey will be that guy. His comparison is Stanley Pringle. Just saying.

#8 DYIP Troy Rike - Let us follow the explanation of Columbian that they want this pick to shore up their frontline. At this point, Rike is the best center available. He is not that physical but his fundamental is sound.

#9 MER Larry Muyang - They need to improved their bigman rotation because they also traded Brian Faundo. Muyang is a traditional center that they can develop into something more.

#10 MAG James Laput - Laput and Adamos are the ones remaining from the four that they are trying out. I think they will choose the higher potential of Laput. Laput is the tallest and longest prospect in this draft.

#11 NOR Aljun Melecio - After grabbing a bigman with their #2 pick, I expect Batang Pier to grab a point guard because they do need one. Melecio is a product of DLSU and could be the most recognizable PG at this point.

#12 BGSM Alvin Pasaol - Ginebra cannot let Alvin keep falling. The good thing is, Alvin will be embraced by the Barangay because of his street-style playing style! He also plays with that NSD spirit.

2ND ROUND
#1 NOR Taylor Statham - Another elite talent that Northport will be happy to grab at this point. Statham is a capable point forward and he could be a positive contributor, right away.

#2 BWE Ben Adamos - Adamos is gaining some heat as we get nearer to the PBA draft. Adamos is an excellent defender, that Blackwater can trust as their main rim protector.

#3 BWE Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser - Looking at their current frontline, Blackwater should utilize these picks to grab centers. A year from now, Brandon and Adamos could be their starting frontline.

#4 PHX Ken Holmqvist - The bigs are drying up. Phoenix cannot lose the chance of grabbing a giant, knowing that they have a small frontline. Holmqvist can easily be the diamond-in-the-rough of this draft.

#5 ROS Andre Paras - I remember that we have a piece of news in the past that Paras was working out with Rain or Shine. This is the reason why he could be the target of the franchise for this pick.

#6 PHX Franky Johnson - After adding a center and a versatile player, Phoenix can now utilize this pick to grab a gunner in Franky. If Mikey Williams is compared to Pringle, Franky should be compared to Romeo.
