PBA Free-Agency: Ginebra and TNT sign interesting talents!

The arms race for the upcoming 2021 PBA season is getting faster as two more title contenders made moves.

Coach Tim Cone told the PBA universe in a tweet that MJ Ayaay will now be part of the Ginebra family. Ayaay was the #9 pick of Alaska in 2018.

In a way, this is a surprising decision by Ginebra because their wing position is actually their most loaded one with Stanley Pringle and Scottie Thompson capable of eating minutes there.

In the PBA bubble, MJ produced 3.1 points, 2.5 rebounds, 0.7 assists, 0.3 steal, 43% FG and 46% 3FG per game.

That 46% efficiency from beyond the arc is enticing but in reality, he only connected on 5 three-pointers. In short, he is not really a superb three-point shooter.

For TNT, they added Glenn Khobuntin. Khobuntin has played three seasons for the Dyip franchise and last year, he averaged 7.8 points, 2.4 rebounds, 37% FG and 32% 3FG per game.

Glenn is a versatile player who is very active on the court and strong against any size. Even though he may not add any very good skill on the offense of TNT, his versatility could make him a very crucial piece for the team.

I just wonder if this signing is an indication already that TNT will not acquire Don Trollano anymore because they play the same position.
