PBA Trade Rumors: Is the buzzing Ginebra-Magnolia-Northport trade, FAIR?

After the PBA universe suffered through the CJ Perez for three bench players and two late 1st round picks. A much bigger one could be coming.

Snow Badua posted this potential trade:

Ginebra - Ian Sangalang
Magnolia - Christian Standhardinger/ Greg Slaughter
Northport - Marc Pingris/Jackson Corpuz

So, Ginebra will get Ian Sangalang in exchange for Greg Slaughter. Magnolia will get Standhardinger for Marc Pingris and Jackson Corpuz.

So, is the value of Standhardinger equate to Marc Pingris and Jackson Corpuz?

The answer is a clear no.

We are talking about Pingris here who just told the media that he was contemplating retirement. That alone pushes down his value to near zero.

And Jackson Corpuz?

Magnolia gave up Aldrech Ramos, an injury-riddled bigman during his Magnolia tenure, to get him. And in terms of production and impact, Standhardinger should not be compared to Corpuz.

If this trade will be posted soon, I am hoping the PBA universe will come to their senses and be more angry about what is happening in the PBA.

Franchises who are not there to compete, should not be there in the first place.
