2021 PBA Draft Winners! Ginebra got richer!

With a few days under our belt to consume the gigantic 2020 PBA draft, it is time now to award the top 5 winners!

The winners can either be a draftee or a team or anything over the sun that we consider to have benefited from the way the draft went down.

#5 San Miguel Beermen
What if the injury concerns of June Mar Fajardo are real and that he will not be able to play the entire season? Or maybe, we will never witness The Kraken again?

The Beermen will look for some fresh bigs. Who did Northport draft? Jamie Malonzo and Troy Rike. Together with Greg Slaughter, they now have three viable options to target.

#4 Mikey Williams
Mikey is already 29 years old. He doesn't have the time to enjoy growing with a young team like NLEX Road Warriors. So, for him to find a championship contender right away means he can now compete for a championship and build up his legacy.

#3 Brgy. Ginebra San Miguel
The reality is, they do not need a 6'8 center like Holmqvist. But in the PBA, getting as many giants as possible is a good thing. They also grab an under-the-radar sniper in Brian Enriquez. For the #1 team in the league to do this, is a superb draft result.

#2 Anton Asistio / Andrei Caracut
There are only a few teams that actually have a spot for small point guards like Asistio and Caracut. Rain or Shine is one of the few and they are even searching for a potential starting point guard. That means, the opportunity for Anton and Andrei is real, which is not a common scene for small PGs.

#1 Meralco Bolts
Alvin Pasaol is not the strongest, quickest, fastest, longest or even heaviest. But the guy can be considered as a basketball genius.

Thus, for Meralco to luckily land him at #9 is next to a miracle. I also think that Meralco also needs a scorer like Pasaol. Someone who can overpower weak wings in the PBA. He will be a superb weapon in the playoffs.
