PBA Analysis: Ginebra/Magnolia/SMB/TNT, how bad is the PBA today?

Why are you watching the PBA? I think, there is two primary answers to this question. The first one is, you love the sports of basketball. The second one is, you are a fan of a team.

If you think about it, both of those things are reliant on a thing called parity! In Tagalog, "patas". How can you enjoy basketball, even if you love it so much if you know that one of the teams is way better in terms of talent?

What is the point of rooting for your team if there are a few super-powerful teams that is hard to catch-up with?

Unfortunately for the PBA, it reached the point where one of the best coaches in the league, telling the media that 2/3 of the teams are only fighting now for fifth place.

Coach Yeng Guiao said that Ginebra, Magnolia, San Miguel and TNT basically hoarded almost all of the elite players in the country.

The current level of Ginebra, Magnolia, SMB and TNT are way too high now that imagining a different set of semifinalists is not realistic.

The statements of coach Nash Racela are even worse because he said "we are hoping that we could form somehow a competitive line-up."

He is basically admitting that all the trades that they did this offseason made them worse. It is like admitting to being a farm team.\

Can the PBA management even realize how bad the league is, today?

If they fail to do so. Do not expect any improvement.
