PBA Free-Agency: The Top 10 Biggest Potential COMEBACK!

I decided to check the 10 biggest names out there who have not played in the last two seasons of the PBA, that can still make a comeback in the league.

In this ranking, I balance the quality of the player, their popularity and how realistic is the possibility that they will return.

#10 Arnold Van Opstal
A certified draft bust. A certified what if. Nevertheless, AVO is still young if he decides to make a comeback and try to show that he was not a bust.

#9 Jeric Teng
Another bust? Some analysts are using him already as an example of a college superstar who failed in the PBA. Nevertheless, Teng is changing his game and still playing competitive basketball. He was actually the top scorer of the 2020 season of MPBL.

#8 Dylan Ababou
Still 34 years old, Ababou can still add firepower to any PBA team. Unfortunately, teams are already scared with his two ACL injuries. Nevertheless, at least a farewell season should be in the card.

#7 Jayjay Helterbrand
It is easy to say that he is already 44 years old but in the MPBL, he still looks like a wizard in the court. He produced 9.2 points, 2 three-pointers made, 4.8 rebounds, 6.1 assists, and 1.3 steals per game. I think, Ginebra doesn't need him already. How about the other teams?

#6 Chris Lutz
At the latter part of 2019, it was reported that Lutz is looking for a PBA comeback. Unfortunately, the pandemic hit. Can he still reconsider? He has a short career and he ended it with a lot of questions.

#5 Jeckster Apinan
Do you recognize this guy? He was undrafted in the 2013 PBA draft and alumni of JRU. Jeckster showcased an interesting game in the MPBL. He is energetic, athletic and excellent defensively.

#4 John Wilson
The 2020 MPBL MVP should really consider a comeback in the league. John produced 19.3 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2.4 steals, 42.1% FG and 38.1% 3FG per game. He showcased an all-around game and he really looks like a level above the guys that he was playing against in the MPBL.

#3 Chris Ellis
What if he was not hit with a plethora of injuries? What if he was a few percentage better from beyond the arc? Ellis has the jumping ability to be a superstar in the PBA. He only ended up as an elite role player but still, I am pretty sure that he can still play.

#2 Mark Yee
Yee is already 39 years old. What is the point of even considering him? Well, he doesn't play like a 39 years old. The guy's hustle is comparable to Cliff Hodge and Calvin Abueva. And his defense and playmaking are still top notches for a small-ball forward.

#1 Keith Jensen
I was a big fan of what he brings in the court. Unfortunately, he is already 5 years away from the PBA. Nevertheless, he is only 33 years old. Still ripe to make an impact. And according to the management of Magnolia, their arms are still open for a reunion.
