PBA Trade Rumors: Alaska is interested on a center with three-point shooting?

A Facebook page posted that Russell Escoto is now being eyed by three teams, Alaska, Phoenix and Blackwater.

First, it was not shocking that Escoto is now in the rumor mill because history tells us that he requested a trade out of the Dyip franchise.

Now, is it logical for Alaska to trade for Escoto?

Yes. Looking at their current frontline of Tratter, Ebona, Adamos and Brondial, they do not have a stretch bigman.

Escoto is a proven three-point shooter. Although his volume can still be increased. With his outside shooting, it will provide a much wider paint for the other bigs to attack. Tratter and Ebona are bruisers on offense. Additional space will be a big help.

Alaska also has a lot of in-prime players that they can exchange for Escoto. Like, Terrafirma can use an additional defensive wing. Racal could be their guy.

How about Phoenix?

Phoenix emphasized three-point shooting. So, it will not be shocking if they want a bigman who can already hit three-point shots.

Phoenix also is still thin on the frontline. So, it makes sense.
