PBA Trade Rumors: Which teams made trade offer for Barroca?

In one of the most recent rumors that populated the Facebook of the PBA universe, it said that Magnolia received offers for Mark Barroca.

No trade happened.

First, should we believe the trade rumor? The reality is, there could be near a hundred trade offers that were rejected or did not materialize already this year. And knowing that Magnolia has a loaded guard rotation, it is plausible that some teams will dare to try and get Barroca.

So, who could be those teams that offered?

Ginebra
It is hard for me to just throw away the rumor last year that LA Tenorio is already near his retirement. If LA hangs his sneakers, Ginebra will need a starting pure point guard.

Knowing that Ginebra is in an intense arms race with the elite teams, they will surely look for a proven guy. They may have offered one of Arvin Tolentino or Prince Caperal. Knowing that Ginebra already has a loaded forward and bigman rotation.

Rain or Shine
Mark Barroca fits their culture of grit and physicality. They badly need a starting point guard. He can be a mentor to Anton Asistio and Andrei Caracut.

I will not be shocked if Rain or Shine tried to offer Belga for him and maybe asked for some more.

The hard question now is, did Magnolia made the right decision of not making the deal?
