PBA Analysis: This Ginebra player is the most intriguing!

I think the Ginebra fans are all excited to see Christian Standhardinger wear their patented red and white jersey.

That is expected because we are talking about a player that produced 19.9 points, 12.0 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 49% FG per game.

After the Greg Slaughter-Japeth Aguilar twin tower failed to make a mark in the history of the franchise, fans are hopeful that the new Aguilar-Standhardinger duo will.

For me though, the player that fans should actually look after is Prince Caperal. Caperal ended up with the Most Improved Player award from the PBA bubble.

Here is the intriguing part now, with the arrival of Standhardinger, it is hard to fathom him getting close to his 21.1 minutes per game in the PBA bubble.

So, what will happen to him now?

Will coach Tim Cone try to give him some minutes in the 3 position? He can hit three-pointers, so offensively, it is possible.

Defensively could be a disaster because his foot speed is not fast enough. He will be a weakness that other teams will surely take advantage of.

The worst thing for him is to be treated as a spare tire. If that happens, his talent could be wasted in the bench for a very long time.

Unless coach Tim Cone will trade him.
