PBA Analysis: Standhardinger's injury could be disastrous for Ginebra!

The biggest addition of Ginebra to their line-up is still not participating in their practice sessions because of an injury.

According to LA Tenorio, they want Standhardinger to be 100% at the opening of the upcoming season, so they are not pushing for him to practice.

The good thing is, as continued by LA, Standhardinger already experienced being led by coach Tim Cone in the SEA games.

The problem now is, the injury that Standhardinger is experiencing right now could be an old one. And injuries that are hard to heal, are a bad problem.

It is true that Standhardinger is just a premium luxury addition to a championship squad but still, Ginebra will try to incorporate him.

That process could be a well of problems for Ginebra if it will not happen early. Add the potential friction between Scottie Thompson and Aljon Mariano, and chemistry could be a bit of a problem for BGSM, this year.

Also, Ginebra got the championship last year, with Fajardo on the sideline. A San Miguel Beermen with Fajardo is still the most talented roster in the league.

And if it will boil down to SMB-BGSM finals, a complete SMB with a talent advantage will be a very hard opponent for Ginebra, especially if Standhardinger's lingering injury will not be fixed.
