San Miguel decided to add depth to their frontline by adding two bigman in James Sena and Alfonso Gotladera.
According to team manager Gee Abanilla, they are looking to add some experience and a fresh set of legs in their frontline.
Sena was last seen in the PBA, two years ago, with the Blackwater Elite. He is a skilled bigman, but undersize.
He is quick and can handle the ball. Defensively, he could be an interesting addition because of his quick feet and experience.
Gotladera is the much bigger addition. He is younger than Sena and around 6'6. His last team was the NLEX Road Warriors.
Depending on the advancement of his skillset, Gotladera will provide toughness in their bigman rotation. Although, Beermen fans should hope that he has learned how to connect from beyond the arc.
The addition of these two bigs is a good decision for the Beermen.
Currently, their frontline is composed of June Mar Fajardo - Moala Tautuaa - Arwind Santos - Daniel De Guzman.
With those two, they will still have enough bodies, just in case, Fajardo will be reinjured during the Philippine Cup.
