PBA Free-Agency: Two players will follow the Ravenas' footsteps?

The moment Thirdy Ravena decided to postpone his entry to the PBA and join an International League, we all know by that time that more will follow.

Coach Charles Tiu, brother of Chris Tiu, posted on Twitter that his contact in Japan told him that two more Filipino players are angling to play in the Japan B League.

There are two types of players who can try to go to Japan. The first one is PBA free agents and the second one is amateur players.

Let us assume that he is talking about free agents. So, who could they be?

Of course, the popular choice is Ray Parks. But, the management of TNT was clear that Ray Parks can t try to get his clearance to play in International League, and they seem confident that he will not get it.

That is sad in a way because Parks can easily be a credible international basketball player. He is big, can shoot, can defend and can make plays for others.

What he did was bad but we are at least hoping that they will let him make Filipino proud on other leagues.

The other possibility is Alex Mallari because of his high-level handle and height. He could be an interesting Asian import.

And of course Sol Mercado. The ex-Ginebra player is also skilled and can be a role player because of his defense.
