PBA Trade Rumors: Is Alaska and TNT, cooking a trade?

The Robbie Herndon trade rumor fiasco continues to grow as we now have a new social media post, telling Alaska and TNT talking about Herndon.

First question, is it logical for TNT to covet Herndon?

Yes. Robbie is the right type of forward for TNT. He is a versatile defender. He can defend forwards, wingmen, and even guards and some small centers.

His three-point shooting is also a weapon. He moves pretty well off-the-ball, to find his open spot. That means he will work very well with ball-dominant players like Jayson Castro and Mikey Williams.

His defensive versatility also means he will be a good fit in the middle of RR Pogoy and Troy Rosario. He brings the needed size, versatility and toughness to have an elite modern-switching trio. With Erram as their anchor, their defensive upside will be very high.

The problem lies in who can TNT give up to get him. Knowing the current depth of TNT. I do not think it is wise for them to unload a 1st round pick for a role player.

Looking at the current roster of TNT, I do not think they have a player with equal value to a Herndon. Brian Heruela, and Dave Marcelo are free agent signings. So, I do not think Alaska will be that interested.

Overall, I can see the reason why TNT will target Robbie Herndon. But, I do not think they will give up the right package to make a trade.
