PBA Trade Rumors: Magnolia is interested on a 6'8 center?

Height is might in the PBA. We have seen a lot of 6'8 and bigger PBA players, finding a long career because of their size alone.

One guy that is 6'8 but may soon find himself in the free agency market or on the trade block of NLEX is Maurice Shaw.

We have heard in the past that NLEX is not that interested in giving a roster spot to Maurice. So, why did they trade for him?

The reality is, NLEX was just utilized in that trade like a farm team. They did not really ask for the package that they get. They wanted the #4 pick more.

Nevertheless, a Twitter page stated that Magnolia is interested in inviting Maurice Shaw to their training camp.

I think, this is a great idea by Magnolia.

Of course, they badly need a bigman with the retirement of Marc Pingris and the upcoming retirement too of Rafi Reavis.

Without Pingris and Reavis, the frontline of Magnolia is down to Ian Sangalang, Kyle Pascual, some Calvin Abueva, some Jackson Corpuz and some Aris Dionisio.

Why only some for the last three? Because they are undersized in a way. So, do not expect them to be capable of giving more than 20 minutes as one of the two bigs in the court.

Having a 6'8 will surely help their cause.
