PBA Power Ranking: The Top BREAKOUT Candidates! Gs and Wings!

Finally, the Philippine Basketball Association is set to start this year's season by July 16, 2021! They will run it much quicker than usual.

So, it is time to introduce my top breakout candidates! These are the guys that will either surpass expectations or overwhelm their previous statistical productions.

We will be doing it by position! We will do the guards and wings in this edition!

GUARDS
Jio Jalalon

Controversies can either bring out the worst in a person or their best. Knowing that we have been waiting for Jio to finally settle in as a credible playoff starter and with very low expectations, Jio should be a dark-horse candidate for a breakout.

Aaron Black
Nepotism? That will forever be a controversy towards the current position of Black. But, he did produce 6.6 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 34% 3FG per game.

CJ Perez
Yes, CJ was our back-to-back scoring champ. Yes, his statline is already monstrous. But the reality is, people, don't put that much belief in those numbers. This year, if he can be a crucial part of a successful run for the Beermen, everyone will see that as a validation to the stardom of CJ Perez.

WINGS
Adrian Wong
I love watching him in the PBA bubble because he is very consistent off-the-ball. If he continues to get a consistent role, I can see him having an opportunity to be a starter in this league.

Kevin Ferrer
Ferrer is a very underrated player in the PBA. In the PBA bubble, he went for a mini breakout by averaging 10.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 38% 3FG per game.

Jeron Teng
He was anointed as the face of the Alaska Aces. His 11.3 points, 5 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 41% FG per game was a good statline but, Teng has the talent to even surpass that. And I think, he will.
