PBA Trade Rumors: San Miguel is targeting Greg Slaughter?

Snow Badua, after several weeks of hiatus from posting PBA trade rumors in favor of Gilas-related things, gave us a new one this week.

It states that one team is collecting unheralded big men that they can utilize as trade bait for the league's taller bigman.

The team that most probably popped into our mind is San Miguel Beermen as they just signed James Sena and Alfonso Gotladera.

Two guys that you can describe as unheralded as both of them last played in the PBA, two seasons ago. Also, they are treated as bench guys.

For the trade target, the word "taller" could be indicating Greg Slaughter, the biggest player in the PBA in the last decade.

Although, the fact that Gotladera and Sena are just signed and that coach Pido Jarencio was so loud in telling the media that they will treat Greg as their main guy, may push this trade at the middle of the tournament, at the earliest.

In the rumor, Snow also said that a guard will be added. If Greg will be the guy to be traded, San Miguel may need to give up one of their big-name guards.

So, either Chris Ross or Alex Cabagnot?

Either of the two, I think the Beermen is deep enough to survive without them.
