PBA Trade Rumors: SMB should trade for Malonzo or Rike, first?

If you have watched a single game of San Miguel, you may have noticed that one guy is not playing that much.

I am talking about Junemar Fajardo. You may also have noticed that some low-profile guys like Bam Gamalinda and Alfonso Gotlodera are getting minutes in the frontcourt of San Miguel.

It is due to the current imbalance in the roster of the Beermen. They have the most loaded guard and wing rotation in the league.

But, their forward and bigman rotation has suffered.

So, it was not shocking for me to see a social media post by PBA on the go, that San Miguel could be eyeing the two rookies of Northport Batang Pier.

I am talking about Jamie Malonzo, #2 pick, and Troy Rike, #11 pick.

It will be pretty hard to defend Northport if they trade both guys at once. So, what I expect, if Northport remains to be a farm team up to this point, is that one will go first.

The question is, which one should go first?

Rike is an interesting option actually because he is 6'8 with legit three-point shooting. That should fit well with Moala Tautuaa and Fajardo.

But, for their overall team, I think Malonzo should be the first one.
