PBA Power Ranking: The 2021 Top Breakout Candidates!



One of the most entertaining things to follow during a tournament are players who are finally showing us something close or even exceed their potential.

We call them breakout players. And in the first few weeks of the 2021 PBA Philippine Cup, here are our top candidates as the ultimate breakout player this year!

#5 Roosevelt Adams
Here is the #1 pick of the 2019 PBA Draft who is already considered by some PBA fans as a bust after a forgettable rookie season. His sophomore season is much better, averaging 13.5 points, 11.8 rebounds and 36% 3FG per game.

#4 Rey Nambatac
Rey entered the season, assured with more opportunities to score and lead his team in the halfcourt. He took advantage, manufacturing 12.8 points, 6.0 rebounds,1.7 assists and 30% FG per game.

#3 Robert Bolick
His rookie season was cut short due to an injury, including his 2nd season. He was back with a vengeance this year, producing 18.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 38% FG per game.

#2 Greg Slaughter
In the last season of Greg in Ginebra, he averaged 9.8 points and 6.4 rebounds. This year, he is manufacturing 19.5 points, 15.5 rebounds and 57% FG per game. He is also looking like the top giant in the league.

#1 Yousef Taha
Speaking of giants, here is a guy that people saw as a role player for his entire career. That could be changing this year as he averaged 11.4 points, 9.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game.
