PBA Trade Rumors: Magnolia will finally trade for the biggest PBA player?

I will feel really bad about coach Pido Jarencio and at the same time laugh out loud if Greg Slaughter will be traded in the middle of the on-going tournament.

Coach Pido Jarencio defended the Greg Slaughter-Christian Standhardinger trade the best way possible and for Greg to be traded right away will surely erase the minuscule amount of credibility that he had left.

According to Snow Badua, Greg Slaughter is now being eyed to be moved to Magnolia in exchange for Jio Jalalon, Jackson Corpuz and a 1st round pick.

Is the trade fair?

I do not think it is. Greg is a giant and again, supply and demand plus the playoff results suggest that giants are the most important position in the PBA and it is not close, at all.

So, for Northport to only get a small point guard and a forward that cannot shoot and a potential #10 to #12 pick in a future draft, is an unacceptable return.

Although, the names will make it close because Jio Jalalon is popular. At the very least, I think Aris Dionisio should be part of that trade.

Adding a unique young stud that is already starting-quality should make the value equal. Although, the trade is still heavily in favor for Magnolia.

Greg Slaughter-Ian Sangalang combo could be destructive on the defensive end.
