Out of the five legends of the San Miguel Beermen franchise that is still playing for them, there is no doubt that Arwind Santos was the most hated.
There were several instances in the past where fans were calling for him to be traded. Either because of his racist remark or banging heads with his teammates.
The trade never happened. Do you know why? Because the guy that doesn't want to trade him is the owner of the team, Ramon S. Ang.
An article in Spin.ph detailed how sir Ramon remained fully committed to Arwind even though fans are already calling for his head.
So, that is the reason why I do not believe that PBA on the Go is implying that SMB will trade Arwind in a Tweet.
In the tweet, PBA on the Go implies that Troy Rike and Jamie Malonzo are a good fit with SMB. And that Gagamboy, a clue pointing to Arwind Santos, is already old.
And then adding a bench player and a pick will make it a quick approval for the Commissioner.
I am pretty sure that before we see an Arwind Santos trade, we will see first two of Chris Ross, Alex Cabagnot and Marcio Lassiter playing for another team.
To end, I am still hoping that Northport can keep their current rookies and stay the course.
