I am pretty sure Ginebra fans are having a hard time right now with what they are feeling. Ginebra entered this tournament with the chance of being the only PBA champion for two consecutive years.
They entered the tournament also, with almost the same line-up as last year and they have added a top 10 player of the league.
So, expectations were high and I am pretty sure that only a handful of Ginebra fans even wondered about failing to reach the playoffs.
Unfortunately, they are now face with a reality that their favorite team may end up being eliminated because only eight teams is needed for the playoff.
Sorry Ginebra fans, I am pretty sure the PBA administration cannot adjust the rule now to accommodate Ginebra if they only end up as a top 10 team.
If Alaska Aces managed to reach 5 wins, they have 3 games left, and Ginebra losses their last game, Ginebra will be eliminated.
I cannot remember a time where the defending champion got a massive roster improvement and was suddenly at risk of being eliminated.
Maybe, this experience is really bound to happen to Ginebra fans. Knowing that their strength in numbers will surely help them cope with it.
