PBA Analysis: Is Ginebra waving the white flag?

Ginebra became the most popular basketball ball club in the country because of the mantra, Never Say Die.

Never Say Die means that the team will never give up as long as there is a bit of hope still in play. Robert Jaworski was the heart and soul of that.

So, Ginebra fans were quick to point out that the sudden announcement of an injury to Scottie Thompson is fishy.

Jeff Chan will return from the Unrestricted Free Agency as Mark Caguioa was now sent to it. Yes. Mark can now sign with any team that he wants to.

Now, Scottie is not only the guy that they are connecting to an injury. According to coach Tim Cone, Stanley Pringle is also suffering from a bone bruise in his knee and femur. That injury, as per coach Tim, is very painful.

Fans are now contemplating that the team is trying to accumulate a lot of possible explanations for a potential elimination in the elimination round and ending a historic run of a playoff appearance.

That will be hard to do though, as fans were quick into catching that possibility. They did saw Scottie Thompson, healthy in their last game.

Overall, if Ginebra is really eliminated, I expect the Ginebra fans to be hard on the team and on the management.
